NDP Information from Lisa Crump, NDP Director

With 2011 National Day of Prayer behind us, I just wanted to take a moment to thank all who hosted prayer events in your community. This side of eternity, we may never know the full impact of these efforts, but we must remain faithful until the Lord completes His good work.

Thank you to those who have already sent in your Event Reports. There have been some powerful accounts of the day's gatherings coming into the national office. We are praising God for all He has accomplished in bringing the faithful together to pray for our nation!

If you have not had a chance to send in your Event Report, you still have time.
Fill out the on-line event report form:
survey.constantcontact.com/survey/a07e3tl2fwpgnc7x6ng/a023f9go2j4jou/greeting

If you would like to include photos of your event, you can send those as well. Simply upload them in a folder (rather than individual pictures) and go to
http://bit.ly/kVZbIo to forward them on to us.

Deadline for sending your Event Report is May 31.

If you have not "officially" signed up to become an NDPTF Coordinator, I would invite you to do that by taking just a few minutes to fill-out the on-line Volunteer Application at Volunteer Coordinator Application. By becoming an official member of the team, we will be able to track your years of participation so that we can recognize your efforts and keep you updated on any news that only goes out to Coordinators as well as connect you with your State Coordinator; a valuable resource for help and information as you continue to reach out to others in your area.

Have you signed up to receive automatic emails and/or Weekly Prayer Tips? If not, you can do that by going to http://nationaldayofprayer.org/stay-connected/ - You can also Request Prayer on our web site under "contact us" on the home page.

Plans for the 2011 Leadership Summit are underway.

This year's Summit will be held at The Jericho Center here in Colorado Springs

October 28th - 30th. The prayer facilities of the Watchmen Training Center are amazing and include 13 prayer grottos (named after the tribes of Judah, plus back to Jerusalem). Training in spiritual warfare will be a targeted area as we also fellowship and pray for the 7 centers of power in our nation. There will be more information available soon, so mark your calendars. We hope that you will be able to join us!

"Prayer is a powerful thing, for God has bound and tied himself thereto. None can believe how powerful prayer is, and what it is able to effect, But those who have learned it by experience." -Martin Luther

National Day of Prayer for Virginia

Welcome to the Virginia Coordinators for the National Day of Prayer. We want to use this site to allow you to share your experiences and to ask questions.

We are the Christian expression of the National Day of Prayer established in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The National Day of Prayer Task Force's mission is to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer, mobilizing the Christian community to intercede for America and its leadership in the seven centers of power: Church, Education, Family, Government, Military, Business and Media.

The National website: ndptf.org provides all the information you need to conduct a National Day of Prayer event on the first Thursday in May. You will also find resources that explain the Adopt-A-Leader program as well as the Pray for Election Day campaign.

Virginia' s Current Objectives:
* Increase the number of Churches, Schools and Organizations participating
* Increase the involvement of youth and children in prayer support
* Plan the National Day of Prayer Event at the State Capital
* Promote prayer for 7 centers of power 7 days a week:
Government - Romans 13:1-7
Education - Matthew 19:14
Media - Ephesians 4:29
Church - 2 Thessalonians 1:4
Family - Deuteronomy 11:18-21
Business - Matthew 5:14-16
Military - Psalms 91
